Hi,

My application was received in Sydney, NS on 27th Aug 2010. Got positive AOR in Dec 2010. Since then, nothing. No 2nd AOR (I believe London VO is not issuing them). My Ecas says 'Received by Visa Office', no medical request, no In Process. Sad Is anyone else in the same situation as me? ie. with similar timeline, London VO. When do you think we will receive Med requests?

Many thanks.

You may wish to follow the post-June-26 thread here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/applications-after-266-in-any-noc-connect-here-to-get-the-status-t49421.29625.html

But basically we've noticed London doing things in a somewhat random order. Some applicants whose application was received in October had medical requests back in March! Yet I know of some July applicants who have not even gone "In Process" yet.

And yes, you are correct, London does not seem to be issuing 2nd AORs for post-June-2010 applications, so unless they need further information from you, medical requests will be the first correspondence you get from them.

The good news is that is seems to have been confirmed from several sources that post-June-2010 applications are currently getting priority at the visa office. This means that your application will be looked at as a priority over theres. We estimate there's about 2000 post-June-2010 applications at London so everyone should get looked at over the next month or two.

But despite their claims that they process everything strictly in the order in which it was received, they sure as hell don't!

Hang in there and keep checking ECAS hopefully you will be "In Process" soon.
From "In Process" to medical requests is usually about 1 month.

Wayne.

Also I would recommend attending a CIIP course after you get med requests!
