London Office 2007 applicant from Dubai - interview call after medicals

Hi Everybody,

I have registered with a management consultancy in Dubai, i'm almost through with my documentation and medicals and expecting my visa call, but to  my bad luck i have been scheduled for a quality assurance review at AUH Canadian embassy on the 26th of October, 2011.  I had completed my medicals in November 2010.  My medicals are expiring next month.  I guess the backlog is cause for this delay.... i really wonder y have they called us for an interview after medicals..... 

A month to go for the interview....wat can probably be the reason? i have not received nor my agent has received any notes on my case so far.  They missed my letter and i received an official reply from the London office that they have selected my file for a quality assurance review and the papers were sent on the 8th of August.  I informed them that my agent has not received the same and so they sent an email stating the time and date of interview which is to be considered as the official notification.

I have given authority to release information to my agent and they havent received anything yet.  I wonder is it a security check or a random check or something related to medicals??? does anybody have a clue??? i know each case is different...... after spending long 4 years and all this hard earned money ... back to applicant stage.... .  My agent says they have a huge backlog and they are just trying to buy time by delaying and calling candidates for interview.  my medicals are expiring next month.

Thats great Sofia, if you want you can join us, we all Canadian applicants have a get together on this friday in Al Quasis Dubai, Captain Qorax is also going to join it.

This interview is required as part of the application process, and we will not be able to proceed to the visa issuance stage until this interview has been completed. Should no issues be identified as a result of this quality assurance exercise we will endeavour to issue your visas as soon as possible following the interview."

I have always seen interviews happening before medicals, and in that the VO verifies the documents which we had submitted at the time of application.

But your case is very new for me. It gives a hint that the interview can be related to your medical also. So be prepared for everything. I will suggest you to send a message to Captain Qorax, he is a living legend in this whole Canadian immigration process. And will give you his best advise.

Since your medical will be a year in November, I think if there was problem with it you attention would have been drawn to it.

However, i think your interview is a generic one, hence you have to be prepared to answer any question. I recently attended an interview as well and the officer was really interested in how I will settle down quick in Canada as well as what I'm doing at the moment. Just be prepared, go dust all submitted data once more. If he or she is satisfied, it will surely be passport request straight.

I am also 2007 applicant. You don't have to fear, but be bold and have more faith.

Thanks Neyo.  But i guess i will have to re do the medicals.  though the interview is at AUH, the final decision comes from London so probably 2-3 months and by the time I will have to request them to send medical docs and re do the medicals.  Waste of time and money!!!! but i hope everything goes well.

no dear VO wil inform u in interview wether u r pass. and wil send PPR immedietely may be within some days i have seen friend got interview and vo told u r pass and got MR within two weeks but issue MR on next day of interview

Do you think re do of medicals and processing will take place in this short span of time??  Oct 26th, 2011 is y interview at AUH and medicals are expiring on the 27th of November.  I really dunno.....
