Hi, with the recent fiascos concerning some London UK applicants I thought I'd give this subject it's very own thread...
Basically I am concerned as London seems to be having some problems with miscommunications...
Some people have not received PPR because they have sent it to the wrong e-mail/ snail mail addy etc
One poor soul (yameen) is now out of time, johnpollard sneaks in by the skin of his teeth i think...
I am particularly anxious as I have moved from Thunder Bay to London ON and despite all attempts my address is still not updated.
I have sent a case specific enquiry to this effect, but up to now have just received an automated response confirming receipt...
This is the only thing I can think of thta is delaying our application...
What on earth can I do about it?
suggestions please...
Also any Londoners, please let me know HOW London requested yr passport...e=mail regular mail etc? cheers

jen b, ok when did they start to process your app and when did you get ppr? i can't go there in person, as i'm sure you know they don't answer queries in person OR by telephone plus i am in canada  cheers eswiz, wasn't sure which mp to involve but will try with canadian one tomorrow, thanks for your support cheers for answering canooknic, i am hoping for an e-mail today...or tomorrow will suffice *cracks open a bottle of wine* who would like a glass?? cheers |

Hey mittens - sorry to hear you still are waiting for ppr.
My husband received his PPR via snail mail. I definitely agree with getting your Canadian MP involved- it certainly can't hurt.
Hope you hear something soon!

cheers tgr, did they update your e-cas when they sent the letter?
also what date did they say yr app was in process and what date did they do PPR??

Hey mittens, I will most definitely have a glass of that wine! The house above mines hot water tank exploded this morning and soaked our bedroom and bathroom, fun times!  We didn't get an in process up date for our app, sponsorship got approved on Sept 6th and then I heard nothing from them till my ecas changed on Monday to decision made. The letter arrived in Whistler B.C yesterday afternoon and was dated October 27th, if that helps to give you some idea of post tmes from London to rural (ish) Canada! Have you tried asking the call centre what will happen if London sent it to the wrong address with regards to the 60 day time limit? This might be a somewhat common occurrence from the sounds of it and they may have procedures for it? |

We got our 1st stage approval via my wife's email on the 6th of September (or somewhere around that date), yet to recieve any letter, altought we were advised one had been sent, PPR via my email, yet to recieve any snail mail notification either. Emails seem to be working for us up to now.

sorry everyone but i am becoming more and more paranoid every time i come on here and see more londoners getting PPR that are way after me...

basically they're waiting on 2 things...

the second is sons schedule A as he is now 18, he was 17 when the app went in many moooooooons ago lol

Hi They came throught a week ago on the 27th. I expected at least another two months of hanging around, but I put it down to the preperation on the file, we crossed every T and dotted every I. Hang in there. Shaun |
