I signed up in this forum coz I have had an experience that might benefit a few of you. For those who have done their medicals and were told they're going through background check, I would like to tell them this might taking a long time. Sorry if this is bad news...I did my medicals...then waited for year and 10 months before asked to go to a security interview in London.

Background checks have taken friends of mine between a year and two years. Patience is the only solution. Live your life and don't put your life on hold.

You are most welcome to this forum. I feel sorry to know that the B/C took that long time and thanks you to share us your story. Although you had to wait for long time until you were called for interview, I don't think that this is applicable to everyone. We can see a lot of PPR are being sent every now and then. So let everyone be optimistic and as our friend Mizo said ‘Once it comes, it will come. If we are destined to receive it, we will, on the absolute right time!'
Caeser, we hope your interview went well. Could you please share with us your nationality and the country of residence as well as the number of countries you visited? Thanks.

Has anyone received PPR after Jan 19th???. I am waiting for PPR after completing medical in August 2010. I sent a mail on to CHC London for an update on Feb 9th and there is no reply till date

There are friends here in Dubai who have received PPR in Jan and Feb 11. One of these had his medicals done on circa Nov 6th..

Suggest, resend an email to CHC enquiry this week, also. No harm, I feel. If you have used a 'CONSultant' then harp on him/her to recheck his mails etc. Many of them are prone to amnesia!

If I were you, I would also order CAIPS, to know the sequence and the status. You may try that, if you wish.

i am still waiting for my PPR..........send my meds in July and till date no response...........i tried sending case specific inquiry but i did not get any acknowledgement of the mail nor a response............just waiting..........what to do...........

hey thanks friends for your wishes, but i had received ppr by post on jan 30 and already sent my passports to london on 2 feb. i had mentioned this in another london office thread. sorry i hadnt updated here.
