Dear FFF,
as long as you keep thinking about this, you will suffer. Just ignore it, do other things, practice your hobbies, do writing, reading your favorite books or subscribe to tens of RSS feeds in sites like Forbes, Business Week, The Economist ,,, or whatever readings that are tempting for your. Waiting and keeping thinking will only kill you. I used to be like you, checking my mailbox every week hoping for the medical to reach me, as it should six months back, then I just stopped.
In the absence of an informed, clear and visible system for information discloure about our applications, then no need to keep waiting. Once it comes, it will come. If we are destined to receive it, we will, on the absolute right time !

Congratulations Kshahid, best of luck. by the way, my plan is to land in Calgary as well...you mentioned about oil business, what is your field in oil industry, by the way I am geophysicist Dear Friends,
Collected the passports from CHC London yesterday. Visas are valid upto medical expiry date. My plan is to fly by mid of March Inshallah. Now its end of waiting period and beggining of real action to find a job and get settled before moving the rest of the family members in June. I am to Land in Calgary as that is the hub of oilfield bussiness in Canada.
Wish all the best for the rest waiting for PPR.

Hello all,
I signed up in this forum coz I have had an experience that might benefit a few of you. For those who have done their medicals and were told they're going through background check, I would like to tell them this might taking a long time. Sorry if this is bad news...I did my medicals...then waited for year and 10 months before asked to go to a security interview in London.
Background checks have taken friends of mine between a year and two years. Patience is the only solution. Live your life and don't put your life on hold.
