Well right now I don't have any idea , of the weight
Allowance, As I had only two hand carry bags with me!
But sure on the way back to Dubai, I will get the details.

Regarding the 5 years kid , it will be treated as same adult weight allowance because
You will be paying the same fare of an adult.

The seat number will be allocated to you at the airport when you will check in. And same time you will be receiving the boarding pass! There will be an option of online check in , where you can decide your own seat according to your comfort. Same I did for Emirates, but for Air Canada I got the boarding pass at Heathrow Airport.
