Can anybody tell me can my local office approve me to be deemed rehabilitated? I obviously don't want to go to a border crossing incase its refused.

I have a fraud/forgery conviction (less than $5000) from Feb 1999, and a DUI from 2000, in April, the licence endorsement is 10yrs old.

I was going to apply for everything at once, but i was told that i should just extend my visa (expires 14th March), and get (hopefully) deemed rehab'd, or apply for rehabilitation, with a letter in my extension application?
