LMO

Just thought i would let you all know....i received a positive LMO within 3 days. This was my second LMO, i have already worked 2 years for the company i am employed with and they advertised my job....did everything to the book...couldn't find a suitable Canadian...sent my LMO....3 days later...RESULT....

Background....i am a retail Manager.....working for one of Canada's largest retailers and i am British....not sure if the size of the company matters...but companies that employ 1000's of  people and only 1% of the work force is foreign may have a better chance at getting the LMO approved.

Wow, that's amazingly quick, glad to here it!

May I ask which province you applied in? I'm applying in Ontario and am desperate to get it processed before Christmas so I can go home to my family and come back with a positive LMO in hand so I can get the visa processed at the border. Did you apply online?

Companies that expect to hire foreign workers on a somewhat regular basis can apply for "fast-track" approval - it's a pilot program, I think, so there's probably not too many of them - they go through a pre-screening process so that later on, when they submit an application, it gets "fast tracked."  Sounds like this company did that.  Too bad that's not the norm!
