Hi everyone,
Due to some tricky wording on the Government of Canada's website, my partner thought she could extend her visa by 18 months. In actuality, the longest she could have the visa for was 18 months.
I have a few questions about LMOs.

She has been working at her current job for over a year and a half, and they want to keep her there. She works with a complicated database that only four people on the planet (all employed by the company currently) know how to use. She works in a sound studio in Toronto. The company has failed to get a LMO for someone from the US before, but he or she was apparently doing audio engineering rather than working with the database. I doubt her company could both find and train someone by the time her visa expires to fill her position. What are her chances of getting a favourable LMO?

She has a diploma from a recording studio in France, and one year of biology at a university there.
She doesn't mind working in a service industry (if she can get a favourable LMO).
Would, for instance, a bilingual call centre be a good place to look if her current place cannot keep her?

Anyways, thanks in advance for your help. Her current visa expires in mid-October, and we're kind of freaking out!!!
