Hey everyone...

I am a Filipino working in Kuwait and have submitted my application with all possible supporting documents to the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi in May of this year.  At that time, the processing times were just 4 to 12 weeks.  Last October, they changed it to 6 months.  My questions are as follows:

1.  If my LMO is due to expire on Dec 31 and I have not heard anything from the embassy till now, will it be a ground for them to reject my application?

2.  My employer in Canada have informed me that Service Canada is willing to extend the LMO until the work permits are issued.  If so, how will the embassy in Adu Dhabi know of the extension?

3.  Me and my husband are hired by the same employer and are on the same LMO.  Does this affect the length of time our application is taking?

Any help and /or insights to this topic is fully appreciated.  Hope to hear from any of u who is willing to share...

Thanks and cheers!

Service Canada extends the LMO and your employer advises the embassy and Service Canada confirms the extension.

Service Canada extends the LMO and your employer advises the embassy and Service Canada confirms the extension.

Does the employer need to apply in Service Canada for the extension of the LMO? Or the employer can directly advise the embassy to extend the validity of the LMO w/o informing service canada?
