Any help greatly appreciated.

So here is my situation - I work in a software firm as a marketing analyst - my job classification is not that of a skilled worker. I am currently on  an open one year working visa from NZ. I cannot extend this visa beyond its current date of 7th February 2011.

I have been headhunted to work for another software firm and am looking to sign with them. However they have not advetised the role as they know me through my current workplace. As far as I can see the new company has not advertised - and as such my job offer may not constitute a successful LMO?

I can apply for a common in law partner to sponsor me - but I would still have to get an LMO to work Here?

I live in Vancouver and see that it currently takes an LMO about eight weeks - if I get my LMO can I still work while I wait for my work permit - or am i reading the webpage wrong?

Does anyone have any similiar experience

Cheers

dan

Any ideas
