So I am a Canadian living in Niacaragua with my wife from Nicaragua. Everything is finally ready to send in the application but the actual fees. I assume I can pay for the application fee online, however on the website it states 'For Persons Inside Canada'. I am the one paying the fees for both of us, with a Canadian credit card, so am I able to pay for our fees on the website? On the website where the processing takes place (Guatemala) it states that the only way to pay the fees are through a bank draft or money order, but it only mentions the fees for the applicant (my wife), so of course its assuming that she is the one paying for her fees. I want to be sure I pay correctly, I have been living in Central America for roughly 3 years now I am the one paying the all of the fees, can I do so online?

Thank you.

Yes you pay the fees on line, but sponsorship and application go to Mississauga so that is the office you select.  If Mississauga approves the sponsorship, it then sends the application to Guatemala City.

Thank you. I was pretty sure of it, but wanted to make sure. Fees have been paid, but I had my mother call the immigration number (as shes in Canada) and they said to not pay for the resident card yet, and that is paid for once she arrives to Canada?

Nope, you could have paid it if you wanted.  It has to paid before the visa is issued.  By paying it up front, you save about 1 or 2 months of processing time.

Damn, well can I go back online and just pay the lousy fee for the card and print off both receipts? If it can speed up the process a little bit, I might as well do that if I can?

P.s When I paid the fees I selected "Family Class" was that the right class? I am only sponsoring my wife. It says Family Class on the forms but the one below was confusing "Spouse and Common Law Partner In Canada Class", just making sure I didn't select the wrong class.  Thanks PMM
