HI girls, finally I got my OWP today, pending....

I calling 1 2 7everyday,but I ve never talked to an agent,I really worry about my documents ,if they including all these information CIC needs

they may start holiday on the 24of dec and be back on Jan 4 2012. so hang on there.

I'M REALLY CONFUSED about my application..They received my application last May 5,2010 and started processing on July 15,2010,upon checking online status they transferred my application to CIC vancouver admission office..what's confused me is i still dont have my open work permit but they already send a kit to my family back home in the philippines,last march 15.2011..and asking for all the requirement and documents they need,My question is what are the reasons why they transfer application to cic Vancouver admission office?if my application have problem i never heard anything from vancouver admission office,no call or letter from them..in my case i still don;t have my open until now but my family already passed all the documents that embassy needs in the Philippines,my question is :which is first to process..my application here or application of my family in the Philippines?2nd..i keep on thingking if there is a problem in my application my family can't receive first the kit Am I right? korrect ka jan help me to overcome my confusing problem about my application,,your not alone! were here to help. di ba mga ka forum

try to contact you MP to follow up your application. try call cic call center tomorrow if they still working. if not next yr.

Hi mariagina,

When you checked your ecas, what is your application status? Is in process or decision made?
Usually, when your dependant received their kit, you as a main applicant where approved on first stage or initial approval. So you are granted with your OWP.
Did you checked in your ecas your current mailing address? Did you try to call the CIC and talk to their agent, to inquire your application? Or did you try their automated phone system (1-2-7).

Please try to do this thing and keep us inform here in this thread!

Hi, girls!

Though I received my PR on November 8, my problems are not over yet. First of all, I haven't received my PR card yet, so going home for holidays is still a dream.

But there is a bigger problem here I would like to ask your advice as many of us have gone through different kinds of predicaments. So, here is the story.

I am ready to leave my employer, but I promised to wait for the lady to replace me. This lady is in Ottawa now working as a LIC and she applied for her WP for a new employer, the one I am working for now. She applied in September yet and till now - no news. Is there a way to check what is going on? What telephone number should we call to know what is going on - whether they lost her application in Vegreville( she applied on-line) or it got lost somewhere  at the post office?

I don't know what your interviewer (immigration officer) told you about "how many weeks it take that your card will come". When we did our interview last monday, our interviewer told us that it take 8 weeks that the card will arrived, even only "approximately 4 weeks" stated on the papers that comes with our PR confirmation.
And base on CIC website, processing times for NEW PR card takes 34 business days. Here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp

About the application of the lady that will replace you, she can call CIC hotline 1888-242-2100 & 1 2 7, and or she can talk with CIC agent and inquire the status of her application.

hi,,in that case,,she can go to local cic officeE and ask if her work permit has been approved,,if it was,,then she can ask for a copy which will cost her $30.. i went to local cic before and found out they havent recvd my wp applction,the IO said mybe its on other unit..after 2 weeks i rcv my wp in the mail..

It's not just you. I noticed that too and I was like what the **?!!! And for sure they updated already for this week because the processing time for work permit and study permit changed and was modified on Dec 21, 2011.
I still haven't received my OWP, I guess I have to wait til next year (sigh***)

I am an applicant with sponser on june 1st,2010.  I checked my e-case this week on 20th Dec 2011 that changed to decision made.  But I am not receive any owp or letter. my husband in China did not receive any letter either.

if you look at the date when your application was approved it was "2 DAYS" ago.Mails take about a week or two to receive and even longer because of the holiday season

I am just afraid that the decision is not good one, because I did not receive owp and my husband did not get lc2.  I hope this is Christmas gift, not a disaster.
