it's a great idea ,  but I don't know Facebook very well , asking  an organization for help , talking to media , and facebook , which way can be fast to get a large number of live-in caregivers who would like to strive for what we shoud deserve ?

maybe we should try all the way and see what will happen.

I have a idea. That letter is actually ready. We can just add a few more detail to it. Some of the ones mentioned in the article above. Then we'll have to sign the letter. How? - This is my idea. We'll send our real names to Resellyalung mentioning the places where we are. For example: Sarah Johnes, Vancouver. She will write those names under the letter and will send that letter to the places she has already mentioned. So, that they couls see that there are many of us and we are all over Canada. I can help somehow too. Or somebody else can do that. How do you like this idea? I see no other way of signing the letter...

I agree with Oksy , we should get organized,

can we strive for getting the Permanent status automatically after complete two year program?  The philippine organizations have strived for PERMANENT UPON ARRIVE and the lawyer said so , I don't think we ask too much and it would be fair to everyone.

Mr Ignatieff office' replied to my email saying at the meantime, they cannot do something about it because of the election time, they have acknowledged the email I sent to them, it is going to be a political issue if they will deal with it during this time, at least they know what is going on right now, so after the election we can again send the letter to the ones that will be in position, god bless us to our endeavors!

hi roseyalung , for now , no party care about our issue , they cannot lose the support from our employers , we should go on asking the organization you mentioned of , if we have a big group over all over Canada ,they can easily to help us. when our group gets bigger , I think it will be the time for the outcome of the party wins.

have you guys checked your application status in CIC webpage?
It's been an update in mine. I don't know what that means but they add my address and mailing address? before I had only the dates. Do you guys think they are moving on?  Has anybody has this already? .

Just a thought, there are some group on FB that's for live in caregivers too. Why not try to add them and work with them. There is atleast 150 members in one group. We all have live in caregiver friends I suppose so let them know.  I think if we can make it bigger the more chances they'll pay attention.
