my mom called the immigration and they told that my mom's application for open work permit was approved and mailed last december 10...how long does she can received the mailed letter from immigration???and how long does her children can receive the kit??my mom is from calgary...

@ trisha letter from employer is very important when going back to canada. I suggest find employer before you go home and ask them to make you a job offer letter when you came back from vacation. Im maybe wrong but its better than refuse entry.

Hi trisha, just wan to share my experience I just granted my trv visa, I included letter from my current employer. My friend is unemploy she was refused for her trv. |

To those who has not recieve OWP yet..don't worry guys its coming they issued 10,000 OWP before Christmas wheather your 2010 or 2011 applicants you'll get your OWP one of this day.
One thing is kinda frustrating though is why they hold soo long the 2010 Applicants and now 2011 applicant getting their OWP without farther anticipation..
10000gonna get their OWP?hope that including me  |

cheking mail everyday unfortunantely not here yet. Hotline said OWP issued dec.11..Hhaha I can't wait! How long usually does it take mail to come when they issued it last Dec 11? Sorry guys just so excited!  Don't worry!  me either, OWP was Approved December 11, just allow 3-10 days for Mail Delivery... |

i'M july 2010 applicant and till now no news aside from transfering my files to scarborough for further assessment and according to the call center agent im not included to that pilot project only files that's in vegreville,,,so frustrating....=(  |

Hi Hardworkangel!! Congratulations to us again :-) Where did you hear that they will issue 10,000 OWP. Now I want to know about this 1st stage of approval...Those owp faster for some and all those changes in the program is too good to be true... I had talked with the agent and he told me that I will be receiving a letter from CIC around april about the 1st stage... |
