It is case by case too. They didn't give me new driver license without WP. Even I have Visa card
Hi Kalinka Yes, i knew it but I didnt have to mention about my WP. She just told me that she needs to see another my identification such as a credit card with my picture on it.  |

@ kalinka is it your initial drivers license? To renew it they dont ask for wp. You can even pay it online. Check their website.

hi there, I'm just new to the forum,i just want to share and at the same time get answer to my query,i applied for pr last may 25,2010,received my opw dec.01,2011,just want to know if its a good idea for me,coz im planning to visit my family in the philippines coz its been almost 4 years now or should i just wait for my PR,and i want to see them,and do you think,how long will it take more, for me to recieve to my PR? thanks for your response in advance  Merry Christmas to all |

Registry ask me my valid work permit (that time I haven't WP for the same employer yet), and I didn't renew driver license. It is my case (Edmonton, AB) |

i got mine too yesterday.. the remark is ..LIC PENDING APPLICATION FOR PR.. it is valid until february 2013 which is my passport's expiry..
