did cic already approved ur WP application? im june 2010 application still in process no new update yet... i wonder whats happening in my application when every1's getting good news

Just want to share this I got a phone call from MP office few minutes ago and the secretary whom i spoke to told me that she got back the reply today from CIC regarding my IMM status and it says my OWP and my kids study permits are on the mail. CIC sent it to me yesterday. Thanks god.  CONGRATULATIONS for that Good News, Ebony! Happy for you!  |

we dont really know wats goin on..but maybe yours will be PR ryt away not just owp.. |

Hi everyone, I am just a new member of this forum a friend of mine told me about this and almost all of u got your papers already. Can anyone of you help me how to find an answer about my application.
July 21 2010 - cic received
Sept 15 2010 - start process
Feb 1 2011 - received add'l info
Until now I didn't received any papers/response to them.

@ lyvly im married with 3 dependents so i doubt if it will be PR right away... im giving cic up to end of this month coz its my 18th month now
ill phone them when its beyond the time frame

Congratulations to all Got owp is that good news christmas gift, hopefully all applicants
recieved soon mine too i phoned and check my status but the agent is busy. But in ecas is in process may 2011 applicant. Vancouver BC

I call them this morning and spoke to an agent asking regarding if they recieved the copy of my new passport that I mailed to them last September this year! She told me that its better I will send another one because it were not on their system that they recieved it. I even asked the agent if possible I can sent thru fax, but she turn down my offer, she told me they don't allow sending additional requirements thru fax! While I'm preparing the letter and a copy of my new passport, a VO call me and asked me if I can give her a copy of my passport THRU FAX! Yes, she is the one who offer me to send her a copy thru fax! And she gave me the fax number too! I complied that already, and I'm just waiting for a GOOD NEWS from them! Actually, I asked her if HOWS MY APPLICATION? She replied that: Everything is fine! I asked again: IF THEY WILL GIVE MY OWP? She just answer, let see after I recieved the copy of your Passport! I believed they will grant my OWP, ..if not, why she need the copy of my new passport? Or even while we are talking on the phone, she can tell right away if I'm denied! |

I think that they are issuing OWP to decrease the backlog but this doesn't mean that the pr will come fast too. I'm really glad that CIC and Jason Kenney heard our complain and cries.
They are doing what we asked fast 1st stage of approval and I'm happy with that, my only questions is:
Why took so long for them to do that? Why we had so suffer? This I won't forgive or forget an I hope that anyone here forget about it.
Let's commemorate but we won't allow this happen again!
This is true, who told me about my open was a agent when I called CIC.

I just spoke to the agent he said my owp approved and they sent it out on DEC 4. I'm very happy and hope you guys who already sent your application get it very sooooon. |
