no way..in a nov applicant..try to call yours now with the worker status application. instead of PR (1)

I tried both for pr (1) and worker(7). On the worker it says my application from last year renewal of work permit which was july 2010 and on PR says they received my application on dec 6 2010 and no change. So I guess it wasn't mistake, system error etc. im happy for you guys who got their owp's. Congrats!!!! More to come plsss.

btw as i went to the infomation session with the CIC officer early this affternoon

he said that we as holder of valid workpermit could go to the US boarder (platteburgh) for a day or 2 wothout a visa. im not sure about that but is that true.

and for the record. the cic have a direct access to the police background check. so those those submitting PR they dont need to get PCC in Canada.

I sure wish this update is not a hoax coz i dont wanna ask this to the call center agent it might just frustrate me my ecas is still the same in process congrats to you wsongco both our documents have been issue by cic at the same date

hi there i tried calling CIC just now. i press 1 for PR application said "we received your application Nov 3 2010" thats all. but when i tried press 7 for worker said " we received your application Nov 3 2010 and your application for work permit has been approved and the documents was issued dec 3nd 2011. i dont know maybe its a mistake or automatic answer.

    @      EbonyIvory.. They gave you an anticipation allowance to your PR application too long..  

I'm a month ahead applicant than you but mine was February 24, 2011. Can you call again and confirm please..

I confirmed it mine is Nov 23, 2012.

  @  EbonyIvory.. So what the CIC mean by the date they gave you? Maybe you need to talk to one of their agent and ask an explanation regarding this matter!

The date here was the same date on an update in my ecas:

We received the requested information on February 24, 2011. Thank you for providing the information.

i would say updating the ECAS status is not really accurate..coz there are some case whom i knew in which they recieved their OWP first but the ecas hasn't change it just say in process...while there are some cases whom i knew as well that the ECAS changed to decision made but the OWP took a couple of days before it has been delivered to them...so again, it's really a case to case basis...so let's continue hoping for a faster processing so that everyone will be happy...
