Please, I need some advice..some advice by law and rights under the live in caregiver program.
I would like to know if there is any information or booklet saying what to do when your employees go to vacation?
The family that I work with is taking a week off in the end of december and 2 weeks off in february. They are going to other city as a vacation. I'm not going with them. they didn't invite me to go and if they had done it I would say no.
I work for them for few years already, and usually they took my vacation with their vacation. But now I don't want to take my vacation with them because I want to travel next year, I want to choose when I want to take my vacation. We don't have nothing about it in our contract.
Should them pay me for those weeks? by law? Usually she bank those hours but this time I asked not. Because will be too many hours...and it's not fair, it's their vacation, they choose those vacation, not me.
I think there's an explanation about that in labor standards- domestic workers... Look for the brochure if they have it in any service canada branches.

Congrats avon! Any single applicants gets their owp? @ strikenannies according to labor standard law. If the employer goes to vacation its like your working in a company that is close. So they have the right to decide to pay you or not. You will be lucky if they pay you. If not go to service canada and file a loss of job for 3 weeks.

Wsongo- I just emailed Boyzone to ask about it...If they will still process singles or they will process married until get in the single line? About this vacations thing...Im looking for anything online and I coulnt find. Do i have to go to service Canada and tell them it? What they will do?

you have to wait first if your employer will pay you. If not you can go to service canada website and file it online. But sc will ask for ROE to fill up by your employer which day you will out of job. It like filling a sick leave,
