Hi Outlook 2011, You recently received your WP extension. Congratulations. What is the expiration date given in your WP? Did they based it on your Passport or on the 4-year maximum stay required? Thanks.  Thank you plussy...Sad to say that CIC gave me only 1 year extension. I hope before my WP expires "AGAIN" they will grant my OWP. Just keep praying..... |

Oulook2011: ask ko lang, kung nag apply ako ng open work permit ng april 2011, pwede ko i-renew ung work permit ko via online para ma renew ko din health card ko? Tulad ng ginawa mo? Tama ba?
Ang galing ng website na to! This way nakkapag input tayo ng mga feelings natin regarding our damn papers... God bless us all... Sana may gawin si kenney para mag supervisa din ang mga live in caregivers... Grabe tiniis natin para lang makumpleto ang 24 months para makapag apply ng PR! whew!!!

@ takawkau....Now the processing time is 18-19 months. If you really want to go home for vacation, you better renew your work permit. apply it online... it will be faster. I applied online for the renewal of my WP last August 31,2011 (same employer), I got my WP today, after 76 days processing time. So, now I can renew my MSP and finally I gonna be home for Christmas..... Airline ticket is very expensive though...  . I submitted my OWP/PR application May 31,2010. CIC received June 2, they processed Aug. 16, additional documents received March 2. My family haven't receive LC2 kit yet and I am still waiting for my OWP. Good for you OUTLOOK  Hope to get your OWP by the end of this year though. I wish i could extend my WP. Well, its very hard to me to leave my kids behind again while working as LIC so its accptable that any conveinence is paid for price but the exorbitant prcessing time we are expriencing right now is too much for us. Im afraid of losing my faith in this country. |

OMG...this is crazy, i haven't check the processing time for LIC lately but as i have seen right now..they keep increasing the no. of months for the timeframe...what is going on here?i mean, this is really confusing...why do they have to do that to us?and even the 2nd stage has been increased as well....the family reunification is really slimmer each time i see the timeline...it is really, tiring..i wonder what does the CIC people are thinking by doing this to us...
i wonder if BOYZONE has any update on his dependents already...
as for us all..let's keep hoping that faster processing might be given to us all in the future!!!

If you wanna get it through the LIC Program then you have to finish the 24-month requirement or the required number of hours working as full time live-in caregiver. Now, you may wanna get it through other avenues like Canadian Experience Class, Family Class etc. ...check this for more info. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.aspthanks for the reply.. is there any way I can sponsor my daughter now even I am still under LCP and just recently arrived here? |

Your husband cant sponsor her even though he is PR am i right? then you have two options. First option is to bring her here in Canada under your WP. The other your choice is to wait until you and your daughter will be granted PR under LCP. |

oooppps!!! im sorry strikenannies! LOL!  well, its really depressing our situation... the processing times is getting longer and longer... initial and final decision, is so hard to wait! then it takes another year to sponsor our family??? geeez! thats really pain in the ass! No way you can sponsor her for the moment. You may wanna try to get her a temporary resident (tourist) visa so she could come over for a visit. But there's no guarantee that she's gonna get approved. |

Good luck @ plussy, I don't think that LIC only allowed to work for 4 years. That's for the TFW (Temporary Foreign Worker), correct me if I'm wrong. Extension of WP always good for 1 year. I hope everybody for April,May and June timeline will received OWP for this Christmas season. Let's make a wish.... |
