I dont understand why all Apr applicants w/dependants still not getting OWP yet as im a June applicant no hope at all.

hello everyone, i'm a newly registered member and an avid follower on this forum.
anyways, i would like to share my case CIC received my OWP/PR app april 16, 2010..started processing june 30, 2010 and it has been 18 months now open work permit is still not available nor has any update on my application as i have been phoning them oftetimes nowadays. i am a follower of sweetchard at twitter and i believe she got her owp good for her.
on the other side, last thursday a friend of mine she is single submitted her application august 2010, cic started processing october 2010 and she got her owp already...i was happy coz she is my friend but was so devastated at the same time coz this is really not fair..how come her application which is way behind mind had been procees already...are there any cases that is similar to this?how many had been waiting for there open work permit?i am desperate already, my current work permit had expired last sept. 30, 2011 now i have no health care and no sin...my employer will not be rehiring me since the kid am caring is already fulltime kindergarten...although, they let me stay in there house till the open work permit will be release...this is really frustrating...is there anybody that can help us?

in addition to my case...i'm from BC and married, my husband got the kit nov. 2010 and cic manila recieved his application jan. 2011.
on the other hand, is it true that if you had a maternity leave that would affect the processing of the open work permit? i went for a vacation last jan. 2010 got pregnant and had the baby last october 2, 2010...filed my maternity leave on the 30th of sept. 2010 and i was hoping that by the time my maternity leave expires my open work permit has probably been release so that i can already go back to work but again this my agony right now...CRA stop the child support since i don't have the legal document to support my claim, i have no work since i don't have papers and most of the family in my area would prefer someone live-out...so now, my current employer let's me stay in there house...again, i cannot just depend on them the whole time..i need to find job to feed my child and it is really hard for me right now...i'm just trying to survive day to day until my open work permit will arrive...infact because of my desperation i am now processing my new LMO for my new employer in saskatchewan...even if i am aware that the processing will take for ages as well...can anybody share there thoughts on this?

Last time I saw Frabregas he said for us to don't keep struggling, because we will just make our lives more miserable. Hi lholie, you're not alone, i'm a may applicant, single but with dependent, i am single mother, i haven't been working for a while now, luckily i have a fiance that supports me, however my daughter hasn't received any LC2 kit yet so i am at a lost too right now, i am not sure but i think i am one of those few may applicants whose dependent hasn't received LC2 kit yet...i know the frustration this situation is giving us... I myself sometimes feel like screaming due to anger but i just claiming that this will end and that God is in control... Let's not cease to pray... |

It is so stressful isn't it? Nobody can fully comprehend how hard it is besides US who are directly affected.I am an April 27 2010 applicant my WP expire Dec 2010 so no OHIP since then I got sicky thinking abt our situation.I also have a dependent back home.To make matters worse my employer release me last Oct 7 2011 and jobless untill now.I guess no one can ever change the mind of these CIC people but I am sure can that GOD can still miracolously change their hearts!Our only weapon now is our FAITH in GOD. |
