 So what will happen tomorow ? update again ? R u serious  ? Update is every Wensday, so we have to wait until next week. But i'm certain they are on April already since those who sent their applications on March 31 had decision made on 22nd of March already. CIC likes playing with our heads ,if not I wonder why the update didnt change .

i just checked the CIC website... The processing time became 11-12 months.. they are still working on applications recieved up to March 21, 2010..

hi! can i ask a question? i'm really  confused with my papers. My under age son which in the Phils. got his LC2 kit last month and then within 60 days need to submit it. Now, my spouse which in dubi doesn't recieved yet LC2 until now. How come that he doesn't recieved  yet that form while my son in the Phils. got his. I already emailed inquiries to abu dhabi but no reply until now. Now, i don't know what to do..I checked website today and 11 months processing for 1st of approval,sitll they are on march 21,2010 update. I didn't recieved yet my OWP. I submitted my docs. last april 2010. Any help about this matter? thanks.

Gurl, jepoy is right, the applications was nailed to March 21 & the processing time went up to 11-12 months!!! I was saddened by the updates!  :(Why??? When we passed our applications last april 2010, it says 6 months then we can have our OWP but unfortunately, the processing times went up to 7 months, 8 months, 9 months, 10 months, 11 months & worst thing went up to 12 months...And now we're almost there to have our OWP, still NO GOOD NEWS FOR US!!! My problem now is that my SIN, MSP & WORK PERMIT will expire next month...huhuhu...TO WAIT IS A TORTURE!!!

Hi! Your son should submit his LC2 kit to the Canadian Embassy Manila within the time period. You must call the CIC regarding your husband's LC2 kit or he must also follow up to the Canadian Embassy UAE...

I just check the update again n it was no update . Try check again cos I am really confused now . The update is still March 2 . Maybe cic is having a technical problem or my brain has completely shut down due to immigration stress . They should stop doing this to us for God's sake ! I just want my PR so I can move on with my life and all of the day to day increase in the processing time is stressin me out .

I am about to send out my application for PR, and I have a question about the payment fee.

1. Do I have to pay the fee for my husband when I apply(he is not in Canada)? What did you guys do? If I pay for my husband, then with my open work permit, it will be a 1100+150=CAD1250, not a small money for me. Not to mention the Right of Permanent Residence Fee CAD490*2=980. How you guys handle this, pay once in full? Thanks!

2. Another one is about the open work permit, I am still waiting for the extension of my work permit, so I can't apply for open right now since I don't have a valid work permit. Can I submit my application for work permit later on, after I apply for PR? I hate to wait another two or more weeks to do it together.Does any one of you submit your open work permit application seperated from yor PR applciation? Will that slower the processing time of my case?

Lol.... March break has not even started . The date is still March 2 , processed uptill March 21 ? I guess they are confused themself . I don't know why they will update it and remove it the same day .

1. If you included your husband in your application for PR then you should pay the processing fee of $550 plus yours and with your application for  OWP which is $150, a total of $1250
2. Wait for your new work permit before submitting your papers for PR. Open Work permit can only be granted once you have received first stage approval ( APPROVAL IN PRINCIPLE ) of your application for PR. So you should submit your application for an OWP ( IMM 1249 ) together with your application for PR ( IMM 5002 )

If you're applying for an OPEN WORK PERMIT, use the IMM 1249 form ( APPLICATION TO CHANGE CONDITIONS, EXTEND MY STAY OR REMAIN IN CANADA ). Then write " open work permit "  @  the top of your application.
