We received your application for permanent residence on April 6, 2010. We started processing your application on June 21, 2010. We transferred your application to the CIC Vancouver Admissions office on May 18, 2011. The CIC Vancouver Admissions office may contact you. new update from my ECAS the last time it was posted like this We transferred your application to the local CIC office on May 18, 2011. The local CIC office may contact you... no letter no phone calls yet... i wonder why??  |

@ rosellyalung,just apply a day after your employer release you so that you will not lost some weeks of entitlements...but be sure that your employer write no more existing jobs or just "A" in your ROE....but if she write end of contract or finished contract or what ever it is that its not her fault because you lost your job,, im sorry to tell you that you are not qualify to get EI.......it takes a month before you are approve or not.....just try......no harms in trying.....
@ palusa.....pls let us know if you recieve letter fr service canada or phone interviews...tnx...

@ hardworkerAngel....I applied for EI online even though my work permit and SIN expired..... i got the confirmation #. Then i submitted all the requirements thru mail.
That's good, you will rcv a letter from them with your 4 digit pin. if the service canada is closer at your place just send it to them.. remember ROE must original copy that your going to send..  and those 4 digit pin is your access code everytime you do a report and you can do it the reporting by phone or online.. Congrats!!! |

Hi guys,
I received the interview letter. It says:
"You have been scheduled to appear for an interview and to receive your Confirmation of Permanent Residence Document on September 19th....." and there is also the payment instructions.
So I guess it means that my PR is approved and it is all over. I just got OWP in July and braced for a long long wait for PR and here it is.
Does anybody know how the interview goes? Is it something to be worried about or is it just a formality?
Thank you for all your input, support and information. This forum's been a huge support for me. And I'm guessing for all of you too. Don't lose hope. You might just get surprised to get something when you least expect it.

Sooooo, if your boss writes "finished contract" in your ROE, does that mean that you are NOT eligible to apply for E.I?
