Hi all,
Is it possible that single applicants are getting their OWP faster than applicants with children ??
We need to get a list organzid to find out .
I think so.it's happening now.I think CIC is doing the background checking of dependents too before they will issue the owp so PR will be issued after few months.not to wait too long for pR. |

I received a letter yesterday from cic philippines.it's all about the LC2 of my son and a gurdianship questionaire form.in the letter it says they urgently needed my sons LC2 kit and this guardianship form.

hello guys.
i need ur help and advise. i will be sending my app soon for OWP.
i want to know what form will i use for OWP. is it the same as the one for PR? is there a separate one for that? i know the requirements will be the same, right?
also, i would like to make sure on what to put on the dates. I was told before that i should put the date of my filling which will stand as "present or current" but then again i was told by CIC call center that i should put the expiration on my WP. Which is which? With ur experience, which one you put?
also in the form, it asked about membership info...again my question is about the date. WHat if ur still a member of that org or association, what will u put exactly on the date? The date of filling to stand as "present/current"?

I tweeted @ rafael_fabregas last night: Sir, why is it only single applicants got their OWP now? What about us with dependants? We are on the same month...
This is what he replied:
1st tweet:There must be other reasons. Having dependants is not generally relevant during first stage assessment. You get OWP after.
2nd tweet: If you have credible and verifiable proof of this, I would be interested in seeing it.
