Hi i just want to ask, why is it that owp have different vaildity period, my have 2years while my friendhave only 1 year,does it mean my case will be more slower to get approval because i have 2years n my owp? we are both married.

No the validity of the owp depends on the passport expiry of the applicant |

I don't think it depends on the expiry date of the passport. because my friend renewed her passport before she submitted her owp/pr application to cic, her passport will expire on June 5,2014 and yet she have only 1year validity period on her owp.

Minr my passport will be expire by jan 2012 and u renewd last may and i am planning tosrnd a copy of my passport next month , would that help for my open work permit to be lengthened?

hello po im new here sa forum can i ask your opinion regarding our lc2 visa which i rcvd it yesterday thru dhl,i was so happy to rcvd it but have concern bcos our family name is incorrect i call the call center and i was told it was just a minor error and wil be corrected by te immigration officer in canada when we arrive there ,does anybody here have experienced sme with my concern? thank you
