How does it works? You should have PR on process? And valid work permit? Even you haven't receive your owp yet?
whether your PR is on the process or not, as long as you are jobless and you still have a valid work permit you can apply for EI. |

Sweetchad- oh I didn't know that.. Because I phoned before and they said that doesn't apply for live in caregiver. (temporary worker) we are just paying it to accumulate the money when we get our pr. Do you know caregiver who's on EI? I just want to know so I can let my cousin know too. She's worried she might lost her job because the old lady might die soon. |

yah i had 3 friends under LCP who applied for EI.2 of them got their PR already. |

i think 900 plus a month.as they said its 75 percent of your monthly income.thats just my presumptions. |

hi guys me too quit my job coz of my employer... i send my application for owp and pr last aug.am trying to finish my contract with them till june but i cant take it anymore coz they did something bad to me... well need to deal with it... i dont have job now waiting for my open work permit i file my ei even i quit may job i had good reason why i quit and now nobody want to hire me too close for my owp but we dont know how long we will wait for our owp hope soon keep in touch with u guys!

Nope it wont affect your PR application>but u cannot apply for EI if you are currently employed. |

@ rosellyalung- I don't have Facebook sorry. I just phone CIC last Friday and said that at that time my paper has no problem. Just wait till 11 months of course. I just email the paralegal about the EI. I know that some got EI but what I understand is our permit is for only one employer so we can't get EI. I'm confused about this EI thing.
