@ sydneywhite- what do you mean they have not received the papers from the embassy in manila to Canada? wow yours is fast hey! when did they receive your LC2 kit in phil?thanks
My family has not received the LC2 KIT yet from the EMBASSY OF CANADA in MANILA, but CIC here told me that they already sent the file of my family to EMBASSY OF CANADA in MANILA, OCT.29'10. I asked my husband to check our mail directly at the POST OFFICE, but he already went there 3 times & they said that there's no mail for us yet coming from the Embassy, so up to now we are still praying that they will finally receive the LC2 Kit & we can start the processing... |

You may try calling CIC again and inform them na wala pang narereceive yung family mo ng kit. Possible kasi na nawala yung papers...naligaw..alam mo na. Yung isang friend ko..napunta sa old house nila..buti na lang may kilala sila na nag accept ng kit at binigay sa kanila. |

@ sydneywhite-yup try following it up just to make sure kindly ask them to resend again the documents so you can start processing sayang ang panahun! god bless!
@ jennix- i think they will not be that harsh for that , i think the best way to make sure your medical will be fine is to have a check up with doctor and blood work out to check that everrything is normal and then you can tell if you need to diet on some tests right? god bless!

I called 1st week of Nov.,unfortunately the person I talked to said that I'll wait until the Processing will be the time they received my papers.Because my SIN & OHIP are both expired

Hi there, I am also on Live in Caregiver program. And I took 2 weeks of paid vacation in one year and another 2 weeks in second year. I called CIC and they tell me they account time spent even outside of Canada. Is it true? I was outside of Canada. Does vacation time effect the PR application? |

I am going to apply soon, it is very upsetting with the timeframe:( Can anyone tell me, I took 2 weeks of paid vacation first and second year. Do they account it into the program? I am going to apply after 22 months and 3900 hours worked. thank you

The two weeks of paid vacation for each 12 month period spent in or outside, Canada count towards the 24 months. If it is more than two weeks then you'd have to make up for it.

hello to everybody  Just new to this forum and i just want to share some of my rough roads for a PR status. I just applied for PR & OWP last dec 8 2010, and i applied for option 2 which (3900 hrs)..i called CIC regarding the stat holidays if it is counted to our total hrs of worked, and they said it is depend upon your contract, if your contract is with paid stat/regular holidays then all hrs counted in our total hrs of worked. I started working as LC since dec 2008 and its been 2 years now and i've worked with 2 employers up to date. I've been out of canada 3 times , one in US with my employer for 2 months and twice to the philippines for i've to visit my ailing mother and for her funeral ....Because of hard work, focus for my goal to have a PR status i have to work overtime and my employer also really need my help more than regular hours of work in a day. Now, When i read this thread, it makes me feel bad , thought its just few months to wait but i am wrong..i just hope that i have still the strength for another year or years to wait this BIG PR status....GOD SPEED to all :)KABLAS99 |

Thanks angellois & rosellyalung! CIC told me that once sent to MNL, they can't see any information unless the Embassy of Canada there would update. So I guess have to wait for few more days before we can actually follow it up in the Embassy. God bless us all! Have a Merry Christmas & Blessed New Year to ALL!!! |
