Since there has been a new change to the LCP PR applicants, the whole processing time has begin slow. Since the new applicants from April won't be under going second medical, I thought the processing would be faster but unfortunately it has become slower . Processing time today 16 Aug 10 has move from 7-8 mths to 8-9 mths !!!! It took me 3mths plus to be able to log in into ecas  .Anyways let come together and share our timelines. Application sent 26 April 2010

CIC started processing 13 July 2010It has become longer this time not only for live in caregivers: 8-9 months for live in caregivers and spousal sponsorship (first stage approval); H&C Cases and Refugees 6-7 months. It is summer and officers may also be taking advantage of the summer to take their holidays and be with their families. Hopefully when they come back they have unwind and have the energy to tackle the applications  |

Dec,Jan and Feb appplicant are beingining to receive their OWP and AIP but CIC update won't move from November 30th, I wonder who is doing the updating job. A friend of mine who applied febuary has received her AIP, so those who applied April should receive theirs next month . The processing time on CIC website does nt make any sense, it is just a formality.

hi monaliza, How to check if the application for PR & OWP is on process?I'm keep checking it through ecas but still clueless :(Any idea for this.....ty  June 3rd 2010 mailed to CIC June 7th 2010 received |

@ libra girl, check for your client ID on ur work permit, go to CIC website and use ur client Id to log on to ecas. If you can't get the ecas, imma send u the link. Goodluck

I'm sorry you can only check it on ecas but since you checked and you can see it, that means it's not they yet. You should check again next month. It sometimes take 2-3mths be4 you will be able to log in to ecas. Goodluck . |

CIC updated today and the timeline for Novemeber applicant is now 9-10 !!!!!!! This is death ! What is wrong with CIC, I'm getting furstrated day in day out with this rubbish increase in the LCP processing time . I tot the summer vacation is over, why waste time again . I can't believe I will have to wait till next year for AIP .......gosh !

And Yet again CIC is not moving from Nov 30th , what kind of rubbish is this,it is as if this ppl just go to work and sleep....arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhh ! 9-10mth still, i just hope i will still have my sanity by the time my AIP is ready .   |

Yes - I also spoke with Immigration Canada and they confirmed at EARLIEST 9-10 months wait time for first stage of PR (open permit). I will guess there were a number of people all arrived around the same time or completed the 24 months around the same time.
