I am live in caregiver,I applied for PR+Open WP on Dec/2011.i have valid WP upto feb/2014.i have a question .according to new changes .may i got my Open WP UPTO MARCH/2012.please reply me i am worried about it.how can i check my application open or not.

I think in the website of Cic there is an option on the upper right: check application status and you could just make an account and check your status there. Or call the Cic hotline number and click on the numbers 127, it will tell u the status of ur application. Or just read on in this thread, there's timeline of everyone who applied and received their OWP/ PR. Goodluck! |

Very good news!!!
Could you please help me count my 24 months again? On my Roe said 7dec 2009 to 5 feb 2010 and my current employer said my official start date is April 26th 2010 I went home for 10 days does it effect? Am I still good to send my application on This March 2 nd? Thank you so much, Birdy |

you just have to count how many payslips you've got. That's what I did. And jobseeker told me that it's better to have extra months than just the exact 24 months. and, yeah! The 10 days that u are away is not counted. Anyways, days are just fast. Just have more patience. like what I'm doing now! |

I have read in the older Post in this thread and they even posted a link on a website in Cic, that if those days that u are outside Canada, those are not counted to your 24 months. |
