Why you don't just apply for this new super visa in December? it's easier and faster! She can come with 10 years visa and stay here for 2 years with out get off from the country.
Hi, as far as I know CIC is NOT accepting new applications since Nov 5th, and they might do it up to 24 months. So I was wondering how would my mother be qualified as live-in nanny without taking the caregiver course for 7 months? Thanks |

Hi there, It's gonna take longer time if she applies as a Live in caregiver esp. In Philippines. I think they stop accepting Sponsorship of parents and grandparents to solve the backlog of applications in file for the next 2 yrs and replace it with travel visa that would be valid for 10 years and can stay in Canada for 2 continuous year. They said that the processing time for this kind of visa is fast so parents and grandparents be reunited with their family. Hope it helps. |

@ shelenon i did option1, yha i knw it takes further processing.. it was trasferred may 18 2011 to cic vancouver and it takes 6-7 months to be given to an officer for decision.
thanks for the advice. maybe ill just wait for there decision. if it comes it comes.

Is that what they call quality assurance thats why its transfer to a local cic?so 18 mos plus 6-7 mos assesment at local cic office is what is gonna happen?that really sucks,but if your interview is straight to pr that will be great good luck |
