@ Cjoie28... Before coming here i said to myself, whatever it takes its just fine for as long as i am here already FINE, but to the end you have principles in life , you have DIGNITY to protect, you have your RIGHTS and FREEDOM in order for you to be called FREE..I thought CANADA is the DREAM, but its getting me fed off, it is because I AM BEING ABUSED by the CANADIAN SYSTEM, ABUSED OF certain principles, abused of my right to update my knowledge my education, Abused of my right to be with my Family who are waiting for me for almost 3 years now, ABUSED my high skilled knowledge ...In a ceratin point their will come a time that for your being GOOD an Patience are being tested by time and situations...BUT WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING AND WHY THEY ARE CHANGING their RULES because we are INVOLVE.. HOW TO GET INVOLVE IS TO SHOW TO THEM THAT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH...WE are human being too like them. WE ARE BEING ABUSED, not by our employer BUT BY THE IMMIGRATION...LET US MOVE NOW..THEIR IS NOTHING TO LOSE.. IT IS BETTER TO FIGHT OUR RIGHTS THAN GOING HOME FOR NOTHING...
Im agreed with you kablas! @ Cjoie28 yes we experienced the accessibilities of other stuffs that we can't do it back home, but thats not enough to settle in, we are talking our human rights here, we need to let them know that their system is not right, we need to slap to their face that the way they treated us is not right its killing us mentally and emotionally, its better to fight than to sit back and wait for nothing. We LIC's and including our family are the one suffering in this system. so why need to settle on what they want to do with us if we can do something better than that.

yeah too many caregivers... is this their way of eliminating caregivers in the country? those who have no resources to wait for the long processing can freely go back home to their country? for those caregivers who have no relatives or close friends to support them here have no choice but to go home...
i am october 2010 applicant, some of my friends with the same timeline are thinking of going back home because they have no relatives here to support them... the inaccurate system of processing is so frustrating... are we really waiting for something or nothing?
Your October 2010, how much more Im June 3, 2010 and until now i have not receive my owp either.. Tell to your friends if they go home now for nothing its their loss but if we continue to make a noise until they get sick and tired of US , for sure they will do something to give what we earned in this country. If all LIC's will united as one voice we will accomplish something we can change the History of LIC. ITS NOT TIME TO GIVE UP GUYS ALL WE NEED IS UNITY

this situation is just so brutal..why do they make things to difficult when everything is just in front of their noses. we completed all requirements, all they have to do is verify it.why having dependents is like a crime now. making people suffer with x amount of time! this really blows my mind!

i called CIC today... and guess what the customer agent told me....
sorry that the processing is taking so long...... that they can`t issue a work permit because they know that we will not work as live-in caregiver anymore once we receive an open work permit...
CIC ARE SOO STUPIDO THEY AFRAID THAT ONCE WE GOT OUR FREEDOM OF CHOOSING A JOB, THEY ARE AFRAID THAT WE WILL OVERTAKE THEIR JOB AS WE KNOW CANADIAN EMPLOYEES/WORKERS ARE LAZY-- AND BY THE WAY OUR MP TOLD ME THAT THE IMMIGRATION CANNOT THROW US BACK HOME AS WE ALREADY EARNED THE PERMANENT RESIDENCY HERE and THAT IS OUR RIGHT TO REMAIN IN CANADA!! JUST HANG ON A LITTLE BIT LONGER WE WILL HAVE IT ALL!!!

What a freakin' joke! Does cic knows that their agents are telling all these craps? They are ridiculous enough with the way they're handling the damn applications and they're putting unprofessional person as their frontliners? Calls are all recorded, i hope this one would get their attention! What a jerk!

I believe it that CIC doesn't want to issue OWP so we don't work as live in caregivers anymore. Makes sense cause Kenney & Governments want to reduce or even kill the Live in caregivers program.
