LIVE-IN CAREGIVER IN QUEBEC! EXTENSION OF CAQ AND WORK PERMIT NEED HELP!

Hi! I already submitted my PR and OWP last March 2011. I'm planning to have a 1 month vacation to the Philippines. I applied online for the extension of my work permit under my current employer because it will be expired on January 21, 2012. May WP application was transmitted online last June 28th, 2011. The processing time for the WP with the same employer when I transmitted my application was 59 days. I xepected to recive it end of this month but still not yet coming. My Work permit will be expired as well as my Certificate of Acceptance (just like LMO from other province) on the same date. My problem is i applied for the WP extension without knowing that i should be renewing also the Certificate of Acceptance in Quebec. So i should hold the processing of my work permit not to waste the money that i paid for extension of wp. Do you know if the validity of work permit that cic will issue will depend on the expiration of passport or the caq? please help! thanks.
