Irshad,

Nice checklist. Just what i was looking for.

Few questions
The guide says notarized copies of all certificates post secondary. So is 10 th and 12 th mandatory?

Also the photos, do they need to be in sealed envelope?

Also Irshad,
I have read of people paying RPRF along with full application. Is that optional initially?

And about PCC, i thought the application for PCC (to the district police office) requires the copy of email from Visa office asking a PCC, So will we be able to file the PCC along with the full application?

RPRF is not optional....I u wanna pay then pay or else pay later when they update.
Makes no difference.
In india u get PCC from passport office and not from police station.
you don't need to show any mail or something.
Just goto passport office with the required documents.
* Original Passport
* 2 Proof for Address
** Bank Passbook Copy
** Ration Card Copy
I gave these tow photo-copy.
Also u need to these originals to the passport officer as they verify it and give u back at that time itself.
You get ur pcc the next day when u apply.
Hope this helps.

1...  In India PCC can be obtained from local SSP / SP office or from RPO.. It takes about 10-15 days and not 1-2 day(s). The application given at RPO or SSP travels to local police station and then verification is conducted. 2 witness are required and local criminals lists are checked for any pendency of case. Then the application  again travels to SSP office or RPO where PCC is issued. RPO PCC is issued on passport and SSP PCC is on plain paper. PCC is only issued on the address mentioned in passport and not any other address.

https://passport.gov.in/pms/Police%20Clearance%20Certificate.htm
Check this Link.
I have never heard about passport clearance certificate.
Its says thats Police clearance certificate is issued by the passport office.
Police record and other checks are done when a passport is issued to the applicant below 18 years of age.
If police clearance is conducted when passport is issued then the PCC is issued within 2 days.
