Hi!

My PR application got approved at the beginning of Dec. I called the CIC centre and they told me my letter would arrive within 2 weeks. It's almost January and it hasn't arrived. I checked the ecas and my mailing address is the correct one.

Is it normal? Is it because of the holidays? I know my neighbors didn't get mail at the beginning of this week, until today.

This week would've been 2 business weeks.

Thanks and I appreciate your help!

CIC sent a letter to us on 13th december and it only arrived on the 27th December, so i guess it is slow due to the festive season.

alliecanada, did you get your letter yet? I've been waiting for mine for a month now, and still nothing. I contacted my embassy but no answer yet...

Hi! No, I haven't. I think it's Canada Post that's taking too long. I just started receiving my mail this week. If I don't get it by the end of next week, I'll call the CIC centre. When I called the first time the agent said it could take about 2 weeks. At least I know it's my approval letter, but I need to know what they're asking from me now. I don't know how Canada Post processes immigration letters. I'd think they'd give priority.

PS: My app is inland.
