Letter of Approval recieved...........now what?? Thaiguy or PMM Help please

Hi all,

Literally just recieved my letter of approval, but I must confess, all it seems like (from the accompanying pack/literature) is that I now need to do the whole bl00dy lot again for my regional office. Also CIC doesn't really confirm which fees are applicable for this part of the process and I am nervous as I dont want the application being rejected for a formality like fee processing.

Can anyone confirm what the fee is for 1 candidate + 1 accompanying common law partner?

Is it true that with the letter of acceptance I can apply for a work permit and get over + start working? Also it advises applying for PR whilst residing in the country you have sent your final application to, but I'm concerned that the 'letter of acceptance' is only the beginning and there is a lot more work (and between 6-12 months further processing time) to get out to Canada. I must confess I was a little nieve in thinking the the PNP acceptence meant you were on your way, not just given the right to further apply here, and from other posts it would seem to a Visa office thats a bit slack in processing times!!!!

Any thoughts guys? Whats the next step?

1.  PNP means you have been accepted by the province, now you have to submit Federal Application.
2.  Fees are $550x2 + $490x2 = $2080 Can.
3.  Unless the employer submitted an LMO to employ you prior to PR you can't work in Canada until you receive your PR.

Mate, that's great, cheers! But what is an LMO?? some kind of letter of offer? Because if it is I believe that one has already been submitted :o)

It is a labour market opinion that the employer submits to HRSDC that there are no CCs or PRs available for the job, have to prove that they have advertised the position.  The letter is probably just a statement from the employer that s/he will employ you once you have received PR status.
