LETTER FROM VO LONDON- FOR 2007 applicants

A friend of mine he`s just asked me about his case that he sent his docs in July 2009 without waiting for update letter(they didnt ask him to sent his docs, but becuase all people from the same timeline sent their docs he did so) and they asked for addit docs on Nov 2009 and another addit docs in Sep 2010. So what about him?

Thats happened with my friend also. But the reason why they accepted his file because he missed an email from CHC London

 for update docs .He ordered for caips notes and found that there was an update letter which he hasnt received it.

So do not worry !

Hey Martha, There are  people like me who have heard nothing for the past 40 Months and I know some others are clocking their 44th Month. Without docs update letter nothing can be processed. Hence, I have already started to think otherwise and loose hope in my case TBH.
If I wait another 3months without an update request letter then I doubt if anything is going to happen this year any longer, hence no point wasting time pursuing something that doesn't seem to have worked in my case for so long. That will be the end of the "Film for me". It will be time to start asking for a refund. End of story.

Dont loose hope this things usually take long.  I met my career councellor yesterday, she is originally from nigeria.  She told me how their application took so long from 2001 and then they landed in end of 2007 immediately the got visa.  I hope they do something down there.

I do appreciate that you have to wait for this to happen one day eventually, but not forever. And fortunately for me, being a British citizen/ European Citizen,  I am not that desperate any longer or better said to go/wait beyond the 48 Months. I have to start looking forward and I am fed up of holding back too many things just because I planned to immigrate some years back, and to be honest with the exchange rate and the rate at which house prices are going up/increasing in Canada. The whole thing seems to have gone out of order.

I think the period specified by the VO I.e. Up to48 months will be respected plus or minus 6 months. We have already waited too long and completed most of our way towards the visa. So let's be patient and we will certainly get to where we want. Good luck for everybody

Yeah Elie, I do appreciate that your case will/may be finalized within "their up to 48Months", as you are almost in the final stage.
I was talking of the Nov2007 to Feb2008 applicants, as I am a Nov2007 applicant, who is yet to receive a documents update letter not to talk of waiting for medicals and then VISA.
For us there is no longer plus or minus 6Months, we have only ca. 8 months left to reach the 48Months. Hence, for us the time is running out fast.
I hope you understand where I am coming from.

Fair enough, but the question is why are we not being informed about this new developments per letter, and asked whether we still want to continue or not. Those of us who do not want to wait till next year should be given the possibility to withdraw our cases with a full refund.
Anyway, for me that is like a breach of contract, as I agreed with the initial letter on the basis that I will wait for up to a maximum of 48 Months as stated in their letter.
I remain adamant that I do not want to wait beyond the 48 Months, whether or not the Parliament keeps changing their rules or not.
Double standards hey, They were very fast to mention that their will be no refund after that initial letter, isn't it?

we applied nov 07 and have heard nothing at all bar the letter asking if we wanted to continue with application!!
Is this the most incompetent vo that canadian immigration has?
Whilst in canada last summer tamil refugees sailed into vancouver harbour in a boat - they are still there!! Beginning to feel that we should do same!!
