Hi dear ones

I applied from CHC Islamabad. ... I applied in sept 06 and still waiting . Some time back they asked for return of money , which i refrained.. Now one month before, I received a letter from Immigration authorities of Saskatchewan that if i wish to apply to provincial nomination program , it will be much faster than the FSW. They said that they received my data from the CIC authorities , which according to them will take couple of years to decide my case. The Saskatchewan authorities wrote in their letter that if i wish to apply to their province then i have to fulfill their conditions and have to apply again for their programme.

Quote from the letter:-

"Recently Saskatchewan received a list from CIC of FSW class applicant who applied prior to FEB 27,08 and indicated they intended to reside in Saskatchewan. Your name was included in the list.

There are approx. 510000 FSW class applicants currently in the federal application category. Changes were made last year that will give priority processing for SW applicants received on or after Feb 27,08 that are either in priority occupations or have arranged employment. Application received prior to Feb. 27, 09 such as yours will be processed over the next few years.
You may wish to to consider applying to SINP as an alternate to waiting for your SW application to be processed by the federal government. The following links will provide you with the information on SINP program criteria to determine if you are likely to be eligible."
I want to knew will my previous application with the CIC will help my case with the saska application or not. What should i do in any way?
Please advice/

Wow, the Sastatchewan PNP authority is proactively seeking and approaching those who applied as FSW and intented to settle in that province! That sounds highly unusually positive. I have never heard of immigration officers seeking people and asking, "do you want to apply?" It's like those immigration officers from the early 80's who would ask tourists whether they would like to stay in Canada permanently. Oh, those old golden days.....

If I were you, I would have applied.

Saskatchewan authorities are also looking for skilled workers and you must have mentioned their town for living that's why they have contacted you. Check the criteria for their PNP and see if you qualifies, if you do than I would recommend to go for PNP instead as it is quicker. For FSW from Pakistan, it might take another 2-3 years for you before you can get your PR stamped. I doubt that if you apply for PNP, they would give any favours to you because of any previous applications. They will treat that as normal PNP application in my opinion.

To apply for SINP, applicant need a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer OR
a relative living in SK from past one year OR
show intention to invest in province and deposit $75000 as treasury deposit

Processing time for nomination is about 12 months and CHC Islamabad also takes 12 months to process PNP cases.
