As some of you may know, I got a verification call on OCT 27 and verified all the work experience in the restaurant I worked. Then, I believe CHC ND called my employer also for verifying the same. During the call, my employer got all mixed up and mentioned all facts & figures randomly, as it occurred to him. So, apparently there were some inconsistencies regarding my work experience and the genuineness of this job.
CHC ND sent me this letter by post:

In support of your application for permanent residence in Canada, you submitted a work experience letter from XXXXXXX dated December 21, 2010 stating that you worked as a Restaurant Supervisor from June 15 2003 to July 31 2005 and a Restaurant Manager from August 1 2005 to July 16 2007. The signatory was the proprietor Mr.XXXXXXX. Phone verifications were made to XXXXXX and to yourself. There were inconsistencies in the information provided by the proprietor and by yourself. In your application and during the phone verification you stated that you worked for XXXXX from June 2003 to July 2007. During the phone verification the proprietor stated that you have been working at the restaurant as a restaurant manager for the last 3 to 4 years and just recently took leave. There were also inconsistencies in information provided concerning the seating capacity and number of staff. These inconsistencies lead me to believe that you did not work at XXXXX as a restaurant manager and that there is collusion.

Before a decision is made in your case, I am providing you with the opportunity to comment on the above concern or provide any observation or explanation in writing. You have thirty(30) days from the date of this letter to reply.

If you choose not to respond with additional information, or if the new information forwarded by you is not satisfactory, a decision will be made based on the information in your file.

I have just drafted a letter to send to CHC ND.

With reference to the letter sent to me dated October 3, I am writing this letter to address the concerns regarding inconsistencies in my case.

Upon learning that there were some discrepancies or I must say errors in furnishing information over the telephone by Mr. XXXXXXXX, I made a visit to the restaurant and at first discovered that there have been a lot of changes since I quit; both in terms of seating capacity and work force. Therefore, I believe that is what led to the inconsistency with regard to SEATING CAPACITY and NUMBER OF STAFF.

Secondly, upon speaking to the proprietor of XXXXXXXX, he told me that during the verification call he could not recall the time period I served for him so he randomly gave some figures, not realizing the importance and accuracy of the facts.

I assure you that there is no collusion and I indeed worked in XXXXXX for the specified period.  I sincerely hope that this letter clarifies all doubts regarding the inconsistencies.

Let me know your thoughts and and if there is something in addition to this letter I should provide to clear the visa officer's doubts. Also, what are the chances of Interview/MR/Rejection

I don't know how can Visa office expect an employer to give exact dates of joining , promotion and leaving on the phone in the matter of minutes. If somebody calls me and verify the exact date of joining and leaving
, unless they give me time to check the records I can't give them the exact dates and the mistakes are tend to happen. So weird.

I feel you wrote a genuine reply. Best of luck for ur process.

Did they ask about your job responsibilities as well?Huh?

It was a bit harsh for the visa officer to expect an accurate date a staff started/stopped working without looking into the records. The onus is on you to convince him/her that u did indeed work there. Your letter seems to the point and addresses the issues raised, but this might not be enough. Good luck! Mandie

Letter seems to be hard one & VO is not satisfied,

Although your reply is good.

I would suggest

1. Get a fresh letter from the same employer about your experience. Also ask him to make an explanation about the call make sure he / she signs and then business seal or stamp the letter.
2. Make a list of the colleagues and their tel no, those who used to work with you. If you can and send along with the letter would be great for the VO to verify.
3. Provide any appreciation letter from the customers from the time you used to work there.
4. Make supplier's list and their details for the VO, with which they can verify.
5. As per the details it seems to me that you got promoted in the same organization while you were working, provide that letter / document also.
6. Your Salary slips / bank deposit or statements / Pf fund details will help you much.

there is a short time to prove all this, Work hard. My best wishes to you buddy.

I am sure you will make it. FNB is all about it.  Smiley

Cheers !

me too agree with Sonir.

gautam....never do the mistake of sending just an EXPLANATION letter (reply)from you.

This is the only chance the NDVO gives....and u need to satisfy them.

IF U HAVE PICS OF URS WORKING IN THE RESTAURANT THEN SEND THEM ALONG WITH THE PICS OF PRESENT ....

what is ur current ocupation?

Dear Gautam,

pls dont think on those lines at present, but pls let them have all proofs in black n white first n formost.
to me it doesnt appear to be a light issue , they have clearly mentioned that they can take a decision on your application
if suppose you get an interview call ..take it as a good sign though Smiley

Hi Sonir,

The reason I was asking about the interview is because I need to travel out of country for few days and need to know if I should cancel the visit.
Thanks so much for your support. I'm sure things will fall into place. Will keep you updated.

I have seen people have been called for an interview in such cases.
interview is a good sign and you'd be specifically told to bring the list of papers during the interview.

I think that you will find the OP was sent a fairness letter.  If the letter doesn't satisfy the VO, then there will be a refusal without an interview.
