Lesser IELTS Score

Hello Freinds

I applied for PR from India on following basis under 0111 code  :

Education 17 years = 25 Points
Age =  10 Points
Experience = 21 Points
Adapatability = 5 points
IELTS  =  7 Points ( Speaking = 5 , Lisenting = 6 , Reading = 6 , Writing = 6 )
So total is 68 Points

I have already submitted my docs and got seconed AOR . But is there any possibility that VO reaject my case on lasser IELTS score particularily Speaking where I got 5 band score only.Or he may ask to retake IELTS scroe

Please help me out.

As far as I am aware is no hard fast rule which says you must get a certain IELTS score, as long as you make the 67 points, but professions such as teaching will require a higher score. Also I think they make an individual assessment of your potential to secure a job and economically establish yourself in Canada, so I think they will look at your scores and make a decision then.

NOC 0111 = Auditors, Accountants and Investment Professionals?

If you are concerned, and you have the time and money, you may wish to take another IELTS test if you feel you can improve your scores. Then if the visa office write to you about the language side of things you will have some better test results to send them.

Otherwise I would just sit tight and see what they say.

0111 =Financial managers plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operation of financial and accounting departments. They develop and implement the financial policies and systems of establishments. Financial managers establish performance standards and prepare various financial reports for senior management. They are employed in financial and accounting departments in companies throughout the private sector and in government.

I think you will need at least 6.5 or 7 to inforce your application.

i am next to wayne , you should improve your ielts score, you have time now , you can improve your score, its not a big difference.

Please improve your speaking skill. Your speaking band suggests it is in basic level. Basic level of english stands for very poor quality english. I think you will be probably asked to take the exam again. The whole assessment depends upon the officer who is going to assess your application. I guess if you retake the exam you will be able to make your bands at least in moderate level. Do not be disappointed. As you have fulfilled the passmark criteria therefore, it is strongly advised to make the speaking skill in moderate level. Needless to say, if someone scores 76 points, for instance, where IELTS bands are in basic level in all or some of the modules. There is a high likelihood of making a negative decision by the officer.

Your education and experience score was given to you officially by the VO?
I am asking that because that could be your own evaluation an could go lower once the VO evaluate it again. There were cases when a VO recomputed the applicants score and did not make the 67 mark. So I suggest to have a higher IELTS score.

See, IELTS score can be the criteria to reject a case as IO can use such area's of weakness in the application. You have basic proficiency in speaking which is an area of concern and honestly speaking there have been cases (shared by members on this forum) where a VO has rejected a case but there were 2 basic proficiencies.

I would say wait for the assessment to be completed and hope you see the In Process status soon and get the medical request. I am giving my opinion based on th information shared by members on this forum and other websites.
