Hi Leon can you please give me some advices about my case. Here is my situation my wife it pregnant for 10 weeks now i have notify sigapore visa office here's an email they give send to me..

do i have to wait for my child to be born is that what the officer is stating.... can i fight for it i really don't want to leave my wife again she's from vietnam...i'm currently still with her..please help me Leon thanks in advance

If you still have an address in Canada, you can complain to your MP about it but there may not be much you can do.  The visa office will say they have their waiting list and it would be unfair to put you ahead.  It's a waiting game and you have to wait.

Hopefully your wife will have her interview and be approved in time to still fly to Canada and qualify for healthcare before the baby is born but if not, I am sure there are a lot of babies born in Vietnam every year.  It's maybe not what you wanted but if it has to be, then there is not much you can do about it.

If your baby is born before the interview, you have to apply for the babys certificate of citizenship to the embassy and once you have done that, you can get your baby a temporary Canadian passport.

I do not know how long it takes to get the temporary passport but I am sure it will not be months.  Getting the citizenship certificate however takes months, something like 10 months to a year but you don't have to wait for that to get the temporary passport.  Once you have applied for the citizenship certificate, you can apply for the temporary passport.  I don't think you should be worrying about that now.  Maybe you will get to Canada before the baby is born so then it's a non-issue.
