ma nobody have anu news from the canadian embassy in beirut eve some people told me we have the csq why they let us wait till now we donno anyting about anyting even on the internet there is nothing

those lebanese workers in the embassy are sleeping w mkatrin, 29 months here and still nada!

and the worst part is that every lawyer/consultant tells his/her client a different story. as for the emails it is a joke everyone is getting the same reply. " the files have been transferred to beirut bla bla bla.. "

we only heard about one person who got his medical exams 2 or 3 months ago and that was it.

nada i went to th canadian embassy thre is about 250.000 applications and tere is only 3 ofices working theire
and you must har something nowadys
but if it will take all this time i prefere to open my own work her and delet this applicatuon its better

i don't think there are 250k applications, it doesn't make sense

i have a friend his name is anthony the number of  files  between me and him in 3 monthes is 23.000 applications and the embassy deleted all the applications prior to 2008 so we have the applications of lebanon and syria together and dont forget the applications of the iraqi refuge and the other applications in lebanon i saying that just to tell u why is the delay but the major problem is nothing appear to us nothing is clear if they dont want us let us send applications to another ountry or make our own business we cannot still waiting for ever and hen after while delet our files

Dear all,

I applied under the Quebec skilled worker on 20 December 2010, I've received on June 9, 2011 that my check is missing 5 dollars (395 dollars instead of 390) .. So I made a new check and resent it to continue the procedure. I received on September 2011 that everything is OK with my application including the new payments.
My question is: The deadline for the first step is 12 months (to be called for an interview) as it is mentioned within the Canadian website, should I start counting from the first application's date, or from the second, or the third .. Before contacting the embassy again? And should the new rules for the 2011 and 2012 affect me?

ull stat counting from the third date and dont be optimistic because its not an exct date to make interview in 12 monthes because evrything is flu right now in lebanon

unfortunately no, and all we are hearing that there is a mess down there, and most probably they are not working on anything

Canada is an advanced country ...
Although there is a mess because of the problems arround us ...
But it will take a while to rearrange everything ...
But I am sure that the guys are working hard ...
From my side ... Still having the faith about the candian vessels which will take us directly to canada hehe.
Anw Canada has this rule, that when a country is facing problems of war or somehting like that ...
They treat the applications received from that country in a first place, and divide the timeline of the whole procedure ..
It happened before with my friend and his family during the 2006 lebanese war problems, and they are now inside Quebec ..
It took only 6 months (application + medical exams [even without interview]) ..
