There was a similar post earlier and the conclusion was no it will not effect if you are not working, you should have at least 4 years experience to get the points and have 1 year of experience in one of the categories in 29 list, all these in last 10 years.

It should not affect your PR process. But update the CHC with your most recent details like if you are still working (where and what) and if not then that you are not working anymore.

Generally life evnts like marraige, divorce, birth of a child etc delays the application and not the job changes etc

due to personal reason i hv to leave my job...can it affect my pr pro.?

Guys,

What if somebody is thinking of shifting his base from one country to another. Will that create any trouble in the PR process?

yes it will effect the process as the Visa office will change like in your case the visa office is London, but if you shift to India for example then it is upto CIC discretion if they would transfer your case to ND VO or not and if they do not transfer the case and there is a requirement for you to travel like for an Interview then there may be problems.

thanks new_2_canada.

Any idea if i shift within middle east itself. That would not amount to change in VO, i guess.
