I am a mechanical engineer for Suncrude in AB permanent full time job since last January. My nomination under engineering stream was approved in last October and the application is being in process in Buffalo. This category does not require employer sponsorship

My father just passed away and i want to request temporary time off from work for 3 months, there may be chance I need to quit so they can find someone else to do the job. i need to go back to my country  and take care of my mother; her health is very critical now.

So I just want to ask if leaving job would affect my nomination if it is under engineering category? I still have Canadian address because I am coming back after a few months so there is no need to change anything on my application.

According to the last FAQ, I do not need to worry about it, but I just want to make sure somebody else reads and understands same as I do

4.If you were nominated under the Employer-Driven Stream and there are any changes to your job in Alberta, such as working less or more hours, being laid off or working for a new employer, contact us.
Does anybody know?
