Hi,

I moved to Canada in mid November 2008, but has not been able to get a job due to economics downturn. With my years of experience in Oil industry, I could easily get consultancy job if I move back home (in anycase, I will be forced to do so if still unemployed by 1st June, 2009 having almost finished as much as CAD20,000 which I brought into Canada), I am thinking of incorporating a canadian company with which I could seek for consultancy job (in oil companies) back in my country in Africa to make ends meet until things improve. Will this be acceptable as meeting residency obligation if my company remits my tax monthly?

You can not make a company to protect your PR.  You can be gone for up to 3 years, then you have to go back to Canada if you want to keep it.
