I've landed in Canada 2 weeks ago along with my family, my wife and I are going back home to sell our house while our children are in Canada.
I am wondering if I have to inform immigration in Canada , can my children receive our PR and send it back home for us?
we have left some passport size photo in Canada in case they ask for new photos.

You don't need to inform CIC and your children can send the PR cards to you back home.  Depending the age of your children, the province they are residing and whether or not there are guardians looking after your children while you are away, let your children home alone in Canada might be an issue.  Also, please read the following post for possible tax implication for selling your house after being resident of Canada:

Dear,
I landed on 23 December 2011 and received my pr card today on 20 February 2012. It took almost 2 months to get it. My relative there received it and they will send it to me.
