leave for vacation

I am on my 2 years this November and will be submitting my application. I am planning to have a vacation the nxt month after submission of my application, can i still go back in CAnada. Anyway my employer is going with me to have a vacation too. and before i leave canada for vacation i will see to it that i got my re entry and renew my work permit... I have spoken to two agents from immigration call center and I was informed by the first agent that I am not allowed to go out of Canada one paper are in process and I need to wait for the first approval which is the open permit, she said that i will put my application at risk and i might not be able to enter canada again. but the 2nd agent i spoke to said that i can leave the country even if my papers are in process as long as i have the proper documents with me .... iam so confused with these answerss... please help me iam so much worried for this is my childrens future at risk thnks
