Hi all,
I'm planning to apply for PR after getting 1 year work experience after graduation from uni as an intl student. If it normally takes upto 2 yrs or more to process the PR application, will I have to leave Canada if my post-graduation work permit expires?( which it will after 1-2 yrs -depending on where I work, outside GTA area or in GTA)

I have another question: If I get a post-graduation work permit for 1 or 2 years, will I still have to complete the full one year to apply for PR or apply for PR right away saying that the job requires me to work for one continous year anyway.

Thanks!

1.  Yes.

2.  You would have to meet the 1-year requirement before you filed your application.
