That's great! It looks like it's faster than the 15 months that the website says, neato.

HI:

I'm sponsoring my husband, I live in Canada and he lives in Peru.  I sent the application in March, got the first answer in April and then they sent the application to Lima to start my husband process and we haven't heard from them since then,  it's been four month. I sent them an email a week ago but no answer.
How long do they take to answers your e mail ? Should I worry about it ? I really want to know if they receive my husband's application ....
I hope you can help me
Thanks !

Sponsoring my wife in Brazil. Sent application around May 15th and near the end of June received an
email from Mississauga saying my sponsorship was approved and the application had been forwarded to
Sao Paulo.
By the middle of July ecas was updated saying Sponsorship Approved, Application Received in Sao Paulo.
Last week ecas was updated again saying Perm Res Application started Aug 12th, Medical records received.
Earlier this week My wife received a letter, generic I believe, asking her to forward her passport. Wow that was soon.

Maybe just a really efficient case worker here... anyway sure feels good we made it this far.

My experience: they don t answer. We have been waiting 22 months... Horrbly long... Ee finally fiured out he has been requested an interview.. We know that because of our MP who pushed for us, but we have not received the actual request with dates yet.... Last time we had news was back in october 2010. We requested updates sent new evidences since and never got any confirmation of receipts... Most peoPle seem to be going throught fine...not us... Good luck !! And be patient
