Hi all,

Ive been scratching my head with this and may sound silly but here goes...

I am landing in canada soon with PR Visa and I have a criminal record ( the visa issuing office was aware of my crim rec.). Do I declare this on the landing card or not.
If I do declare can the Imigration officer refuse me entry even thought I was granted a PR visa by the canadian gov. who has full knowledge of my criminal record.
Will there be any other conciquencies If I do declare.

As long as the visa was issued with the full knowledge of CHC and it was an offence that did not make you inadmissible or rehabilitaton was granted, you will not have any problems.  You will be asked (probably) at landing about criminal convictions, be honest, or you may be refused for misrepresentation.

Thank you PMM.

The visa was issued with the full knowledge of CHC of my conviction.  It was an offence that DID make me inadmissable, however, I appealed a previous refusal and was successfull hence PR visa. Can a Immigration Officer overide CHC's decision upon my landing ? I intend to be honest about my past if asked.

No, unless another ground of inadmissibility pops up.

You were accepted and I would be surprised that an agent upon arrival would even know about it.

So no need to worry..but make sure you don't commit any offence once here or else you will be deported.
