Hi guys, I have two questions and I hope someone can help me.

1. I current live in New York City and myself, my wife and my son will be landing in March 15th 2011. We will go first, rent a temporary place and then once we find an apartment, I will have my brother send our furniture. However, I was wondering if it is worth to bring our staff from the US to Toronto. I do not know how much it will cost  sometimes we think it might be better to sell everything and buy everything in Toronto.

2. Does anyone here know of a moving company that I can use to ship my furniture from New York to Toronto? I am looking for something not too expensive.

Thank you.

Brother,

I am living in Canada since 2006 with work permit in Toronto.

I think for the beginig, for you and your family, the best and cheapest place is Scarborough (north part of Toronto) Apartments are approximately betwen 700-1000$ per month including electrycity and warming. In Toronto city (and Mississauga,Etobicoke..) you can not find anything less than 1400$.....per month for the same

My advise is to sell your furniture in USA and buy used furniture in Toronto. You can buy queen bad,table,chairs,sofa...for 1500$.Also for your children you can buy everything in IKEA for 6-700$

I think this option is cheaper and easier for you for the begining.

When you find good jobs then you will choose what you wont

Please dont forget to chek all prices on internet too. Cool
